UK Beauty Haul [video]

Wednesday, 2 October 2013

Hey guys, so last week I went back to the UK for a few days for a friends wedding. I didn't have a lot of time to go shopping but I did managed to pick up a few bits and pieces, here is what I got.

MAC Haul

Wednesday, 20 February 2013

Hi guys,

Sorry for the last of posting lately, I've been super busy over Christmas and New Year and I found it had to get back into the swing on things. So to kick things of again I made you all a MAC haul video.

Enjoy...

Sephora Haul

Sunday, 18 November 2012

Last month some friends of mine were lucky enough to go to Flordia for a few weeks, and when they texted me asking if I wanted anything, I couldn't really say no. So I was straight onto the Sephora website to see what goodies I could. There was already a few items I had in mind that I'd seen US bloggers buy, but with an opportunity to get more I couldn't resist. Here's what I got:

Chloe rollerball perfume
$25.00 - I'd seen something similar on a US sephora haul and wanted one for me handbag

Instant depuffing eye mask
$6.00 - This was a last minute thing I put of my list to try

Phyto 7 :
$26.00 - I'd seen quite a few bloggers using this, so thought I would give it a try too.

Sephora Lip glosses
$10.00 each - I've not tried these before so I thought i'd give them a go.

MUFE : Smokey Lash
$23.00 - another blogger favourite I couldn't give up the chance to try out

Origins Clear Improvement Clay Mask (not pictured)
$23.00 - forgot to put this in the picture. I've already tried a few origins products and I love them and since I can't get Origins in Malta I got some as a treat.

I was actually surprised my friends managed to get everything I asked for, I really didn't expect that. All in the correct shades too. I couldn't of done a better job myself. I'm currently in the middle of trying all these products out, so I'll be posting reviews shortly.

Whats your must have product from the US?

Mac Haul

Tuesday, 6 March 2012

Last week my boyfriend had to go away for work for a few days to Spain, and lucky for me he didn't come back empty handed! He knows MAC is always a fool proof present so he usually heads there to pick up me something.

Lipstick - Hug Me

Blush - Dollymix

Eyeshadow - All that Glitters

As you can imagine I was over joyed with my presents, although I did pack him off with some "hints".

I love the Hug me lipstick, is so neutral it's perfect when you want something but nothing too much. The blush I think is a classic. At first the deep barbie pink looks a little off putting but as you can see on the skin it's really sheer. And last but not least the eyeshadow is a neutral colour with hints of gold. It's nothing too dramatic but I like it.

Valentines Haul

Tuesday, 21 February 2012

Hey, I hope you all had a great weekend. Sorry for being a little late with this post, but I actually ended up spending Valentines day sick in bed!

Whether you celebrate it or not, you can't avoid it. Personally I'm not into mushy stuff and set menu's so me and my boyfriend normally swap gifts, no teddy bears - just something we each want, then enjoy a cosy night in with a home cooked meal and a movie. This is what he got me:

Mini Mac Haul

Monday, 6 February 2012

If you follow me on twitter you'll know I was let loose in London for a few days while I there for a work trip, and by total coincidence our lovely HR girl booked me into a hotel right next to Kensington High Street! (Thank you!!)

Before I even went, I'd planned my shopping list and found out where all the stores where. Because I didn't have a lot of time I had to be quick. One of my stops of course had to be Mac. Here's what I picked upt:

Pro eye makeup remover/ Pro colour pallete / Creamsheen lipstick in "fanfare"

The 'Pro eye makeup remover' I've had before, and in my opinion it's one of the best. It take my mascara off like nobody's business. I picked up the travel size one as I thought it would be handy for when I travel.(duh!)

I've seen a lot of people with the blusher pallets and always wanted one, so I thought - why not? I have another blush to put in the palette but I'm saving that for a de-potting tutorial. (Not as easy as you might think!). My plan now is every time I'm in the Uk, I'll treat myself to a new Mac blusher and slowly fill up my palette.

Last but not least, creamsheen lipstick in Fanfare. In my mind I can't go to Mac without picking up a new lipstick (like a crazy lipstick lady). There is just something about them. Anyway I wanted something subtle to wear during the day while I had meetings and fanfare did the trick.

As you can see it's rosy colour, but I see it as a soft almost neutral colour as well. I think this is going to one of my favourite lipsticks for the summer as well...once I have a tan!

Have you tried any of these products?

Face Highlighting and Contouring

Saturday, 4 February 2012

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

I came across this amazing video last week by the Amazing Wayne, I'll let the video speak for it's self.

Now I was desperate to try this, but I didn't have any really dark liquid products. That's when I came across Cheapsmells.com which is an amazingly cheap website for all low and high end beauty products. Like most sites similar you won't find full product ranges, but you'll still get a bargain. I like to look on here when i'm "experimenting" so I'm not left out of pocket...and here is what I got:

They had a great sale on, and I got each of these products for only £2.99 each!! Can you believe it.

Now I know I can never wear these products as foundations but I can't wait to try them out for contouring.

In fact after having a look at the Elizabeth Arden Ultra lift and Firm, I think I'll need to find my shade in a shop and order it from here. Look at this stuff:

It's really thick and creamy, I actually had to scrub my had to get it off. So I know it will give excellent coverage. I was lucky to buy it for £2.99, the price has went back up to £14.45, but that is still 46% saving from the £27 RRP.

I have lots of freckles so I'm always on the hunt for ultimate coverage.

Have you tried CheapSmells?

Weekend shopping trip

Sunday, 15 January 2012

I hope you are all having a great weekend. On Saturday I went to Sliema to have a look around the shops, I wasn't hoping for a lot as the trip was mostly for the boy to buy some shoes, but I couldn't walk away empty handed.

We went to Topshop and here's what I picked up:

Oversized thin jumper in light grey.

What I got for Christmas 2011

Monday, 26 December 2011

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. I certainly did. I spent a lovely day at home with my boyfriend and dad, we ate lots of food and had a great laugh.

I wasn't sure whether to do this type of post of not. I'm an only child, I'm even my grandparents only grand kid. My boyfriend is an only child too and we really do over board at Christmas and we both get very spoilt. I know I am very lucky and do sometimes get embarrassed as I know there is a lot of people who aren't as fortunate as us.

So if you are interested here is what I got:

I love this dress. The bf does have a good taste.

Elf mystery box

Sunday, 4 December 2011

As it's gets closer and closer to Christmas the purse strings are tightening but there's just some things we can't do without.

Last month Elf cosmetics has a deal on, spend £10 and receive a mystery box worth a minimum of £10. I needed some new foundation anyway so I was in luck.

I ordered my usual foundation and a new blusher to bring it up to the min £10 spend to qualify for the offer:

London Trip

Saturday, 29 October 2011

So it's been an exciting couple of days as I went to London on Wednesday for a work trip and got back late last night. I had a great time, and we stayed in the most amazing hotel at Westminster Bridge. I could see Big Ben from from room! Here's some photos:
And I even had a separate living room!
Although I wasn't quite sure what to do in here, because even when I'm at home I prefer to lay on my bed to watch tv/internet/read etc.

I was lucky enough to have a few hours spare on Wednesday afternoon and we went to the London Aquarium, it wasn't anything amazing, i've been to Sea Life centres before. But I did love the penguins!
We then grabbed a quick bite to eat and went back to the hotel for a drink. I tried my first French Martini and I can see why everyone raves about them, they are delicious!

Thursday and Friday were spent doing work, although on Friday lunchtime I managed to go to Covent Gardens and raid Lush and Boots.

To feed my nail polish addition, I ended up buying some...more than I imagined! Oops! But I did need more wintery/Christmas colours.
(L-R)
Barry M : Coral, Barry M: Dusky Mauve, Rimmel: Black Cab, 17: Fury, 17: Forever, 17: Peacock
17: Ruby Gem, No7: Totally Teal, No7: Betty Blues

The lighting here is quite bad, but the 17 "red" polish is actually a lovely deep red wine colour. The best part was; 17 had an offer on, buy two 17 products and get this free:

I seen some other people talking about Umberto Giannini "Back comb in a can", so I got some to try it out...but it was on offer 2 for £7.50, so I picked up some "Glamour Puss Crystal Mist" to try it too.

Free gifts, special offers and £5 vouchers...I can never resist. It's one of the things I miss about the UK.

I found a Lush and had to pick up some "Snow Fairy" as I hear all the UK bloggers raving about it, and right enough it smells heavenly .I picked up some "Rock Star" soap and a bath bomb wand as well. All of them smell so fruity and fresh..almost good enough to eat!

UK Mini Haul - Part 2

Saturday, 1 October 2011

Hi,

Sorry I haven't posted in almost 2 weeks, I didn't arrive back in Malta until late Sunday night, and went back to work Monday morning, and I've been trying to catch up on everything since.

So after my last haul I didn't actually end up buying too much more. Instead I started my Christmas shopping (I know, I know) but Boot's had just put out their Christmas 3 for 2's and I couldn't resist starting early. Plus I'll be spending Christmas in the Uk this year for the first time in 4 years, so I was almost too excited about the "cool" christmas things you could get.

Anyway....I headed to Primark to pick up a few pieces.

When I was in Boots doing my Christmas shopping, they had an offer on for a £5 No7 Voucher when you spend £5! Bargain. I was lucky enough to be with my Mum who works in Boots, so I got discount too. So we put all our shopping through at £5 a time and ended up with about 6 vouchers. So I stocked up on some nail varnish.
(Barry I got delivered, No7 from vouchers)

I also bought some fake tan and a lipstick from No7 but I left them in the UK for when I go back next time.

I was definitely on the bargain hunt last week, and I took advantage of Back to Mac. You simply take 6 empty products back and you get a lipstick of your choice for free! I choose "Brave Red".

I looks quite bold, however when it's on it's softer. It's def my new fav colour at the moment. Perfect for Autumn/Winter. I've even been wearing during the day.

In my last post, I'd just received my E.L.F cosmetics and hadn't had the chance to try them out yet and I have to say..I LOVE this brand. I bought enough to have a full face with only e.l.f products and I haven't worn anything else since. Here are some swatches of the lip gloss I got.

UK Mini Haul - Part 1

Monday, 19 September 2011

Hi All,

That's me arrived safely back in the UK and I was greeted by a nice pile of packages when I arrived home. Today I've been watching daytime tv, and had Tesco deliver some shopping. It's been nice, these are the days I missed when I'm in Malta.

Thought I'd quickly share some of the items I pre-ordered, but I'll be going into the City during the week so there will be more shopping. I'm back normally 2-4 times a year, so I normally save up for a splurge when I'm back.Enjoy...

You will have heard me already talk about StylistPick, and I finally got my shoes. They arrived boxed up, and came in a "posh" bag, and were beautifully presented.

The best part was that they even gave you a sticker of your shoe to put on your box, so you can identify what's inside. It thought this was a great little touch and would love to do this with all my shoes!
