UK Mini Haul - Part 1

Monday 19 September 2011

Hi All,

That's me arrived safely back in the UK and I was greeted by a nice pile of packages when I arrived home. Today I've been watching daytime tv, and had Tesco deliver some shopping. It's been nice, these are the days I missed when I'm in Malta.

Thought I'd quickly share some of the items I pre-ordered, but I'll be going into the City during the week so there will be more shopping. I'm back normally 2-4 times a year, so I normally save up for a splurge when I'm back.Enjoy...

You will have heard me already talk about StylistPick, and I finally got my shoes. They arrived boxed up, and came in a "posh" bag, and were beautifully presented.

The best part was that they even gave you a sticker of your shoe to put on your box, so you can identify what's inside. It thought this was a great little touch and would love to do this with all my shoes!

A month or so ago, Nails Inc ran a Lucky Dip for £15 for 5 Nail Polishes, and I also joined their membership program for £5. For that you get 1 free Nail Polish when joining then an additional 10% off further purchases and a Birthday gift. My birthday isn't till next year so I'm not sure what the gift is yet.

What's in my box? #tag

Thursday 8 September 2011

I've seen a lot of bloggers and vloggers doing "what's in my makeup bag?" style posts, and today i thought I'd share mine...

I don't actually have a "bag", it started over flowing, so last year the bf bought me a train case for Christmas so i could keep all my things neat and tidy.

So here's my box...

And this is what I keep in it..
There is a lot of "stuff" there, and to be honest this isn't ALL my makeup...I put some in another box becuase at the time i figured "i didn't use it as much", but I now just keep buying more and putting it here.

I didn't realise there was actually so much of it until I laid it all out Oops..

What's in your bag/box?

Internet Shopping

Tuesday 6 September 2011

I'm going back to the UK next weekend and i can't wait to go shopping...but so far I haven't resisted the temptation to pre-order a few items online that don't always ship to Malta, or is cheaper. So for any of those how have kind relatives -  who can post things out, or will be in the UK soon, I thought i would share:

UK ONLY

StylistPick http://www.stylistpick.com
This amazing website picks out a customised wardrobe for you each month, of bags, shoe and jewelery. You simply sign up and take their quick questionnaire and they next they will have picked out what suits your style best.

The best part is that everything is £39.95 (inc P&P). When you sign up you also get a £10 off welcome voucher.

I couldn't resist and ordered a pair of shoes from August wardrobe, and I have my eye on another pair of boots in Septembers wardrobe.

Glossybox http://www.glossybox.co.uk/
Some of you may have heard about this already, i believe the original idea came the US with their BirchBox.

Basically, it's £10 (+£2.95 p&p) each month, that they send you 5 sample or full sized luxury beauty items each month. I think it's a great way to try before you by. I've signed up for this, and I'm back in the UK 2/3 times a year so I'll have them waiting for me!

SHIPPING TO MALTA

BeautyBay > http://www.beautybay.com/
A friend (thanks Abby) recently suggested I check out BeautyBay. They have a great selection of products, although some may not be available to Malta. However I ordered some "Rageaze Curling Rags". At only 4.70 I thought I'd give them a try. Basically you take a section of you hair, run the rageaze over it, wrap you hair around it, roll it up like a roller and tie to secure... 1 Hour later you have a full head of curls - that apparently last until your next wash!

VIPXO > http://www.vipxo.co.uk/

I stumbled across this great blog a few weeks ago, and not only does Victoria have great posts. She has some amazing jewelery and clothes for sale too. I couldn't resist and ordered a Scrabble Ring & Necklace, and at only £2.50 each...how could I say no! (She also ships to Malta!)

E.L.F Cosmetics > http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/
I'm sure you've all heard of E.L.F Cosmetics by now, if you haven't be sure to check it out. I ordered my first bunch of E.L.F cosmetics last week when they had a 50% sale on (how could I say no!) Be sure to keep and eye out for offers as they some really good ones (Today's is spend £20 or more and receive a free gift worth £15 + free shipping).

So I can't wait to get back to the UK and unwrap all my parcels and visit UK stores. Watch with space for my first shopping haul, as will have actually been "proper" shopping...the full day kind of shopping where you need to have a lunch break and a cocktail to keep you going!
