TRESemmé Keratin Smooth review [Part 3]

Sunday 30 November 2014

Today I thought I would share with you my overall thoughts on the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth  7 day smooth system. I have been using the system for almost 2 months now. You can read part 1 - here, and part 2 - here.

Overall I've really enjoyed using the system. Initially once a week when applying the keratin smooth balm, it took me longer than my usual routine. Having to straighten small sections of my hair a few times, could sometime take up to 40 mins....However the time I saved during the week by not having to straighten my hair in the morning was very much appreciated. Overall it basically works itself out. Instead of 10 mins each morning straightening my hair, I basically did a weeks work of straightening on a Sunday evening instead. And if you are anything like me, and extra 10 minutes in my bed in the mornings was an extra bonus!

As mentioned in my previous posts, I've had great results using this system. My hair not only been smooth, soft and shiny, it's been really easy to manage day-to-day. I've tired different styles throughout testing the product and was happy with the results every time. Although my favourite style was the bouncy blow dry I got that I mentioned in part two.

Since I haven't got any complaints and really happy how my hair is now, I will continue to use the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth  7 day smooth system. If you are looking for a new hair routine, or just looking for smoother frizz free hair - I would highly recommend you check these products out. Dr.Organic Pomegranate Body Butter

Sunday 23 November 2014

Last week I attended the Dr Organic event, you can read more about that and the Dr Organic brand here. While I was there I picked up some goodies to try, one of them was this Organic Pomegranate Body Butter.

I’ve been using this product for the last week and I’m in love. With the cold weather, comes the inevitable dry sky, I don’t know about you guys but my legs seem to get it the worst. But thankfully this yummy body butter has been keeping my pins silky smooth and soft.

The scent of the product isn’t over powering, which I like but has a gentle clean and fresh scent. This is actually my first every pomegranate product, and so far i’m very much enjoying it, but it’s not only the scent. The strong antioxidant properties found in pomegranate protect the skin from harmful free radicals.

As well as being hydrating and soaking into the skin so easily...not to mention that it’s non-greasy. The butter butter is also the very latest in cell rejuvenating, anti aging as well as containing bioactive ingredients. It also contains shea butter, jojoba, aloe vera and vitamin E. You’ll be please to know it doesn’t include any paragons, SLS, artificial colours, fragrances or harsh preservatives.

Overall I really love this product, like I mention it soaks easily into the skin and keeping my dragon legs at bay. If you’re looking to keep your skin hydrated throughout the winter months (or anytime) I recommend you pick up some.

Dr.Organic is available from various outlets around Malta. Click here to find your nearest retailer.

[Event] Dr Organic Malta

Friday 14 November 2014

On Wednesday evening I was invited along to the lovely Villa Bolonga in Attard to the first Dr Organic bloggers evening. It’s always a pleasure to go to events, I love meeting up with my fellow Malta bloggers and having a gossip as well and meeting new brands and getting to learn about their products.

Dr.Organic is a multi-award winning brand, which I’m sure you’ve probably heard of if not, they offer a ‘bioactive skincare’ range, which basically means all their products are 100% natural and organic as well as being cruelty free. They have everything from toothpaste to lip balm and everything else in between. Here’s just a little peek at some of the products they have on offer..

While at the event I picked up a few items that I can’t wait to try, so keep a eye out for the reviews. In the meantime if you want to see what products are on offer and where to find them, check out the Dr Organic Malta website - here . There is also fun quiz you can take and it will recommend some products for you to try - quiz me

TRESemmé Keratin Smooth review [Part 2]

Monday 3 November 2014

So welcome to part 2, and my follow up to my first impressions post of the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth 7 day system, if you missed part 1, you can catch up here

So since my last post, I really put this system to the test. After my first wash, I applied the keratin smooth serum, dried my hair and carefully straightened each section as directed. But the big test would come in the following washes...for my first wash after applying the serum, I treated myself to a blow try before flying to Barcelona on a work trip. I packed my straightens with me and looking back I could of saved myself some space!

So after my blow try, the first thing I noticed was how shiny my hair was, like 'wow' shiny, not to mention how smooth and straight my shiny hair was. So anyway, I set off on business and in the evening when I take of my make up and wash my face I tie my hair into a bun and sleep like that. It usually requires a little straightening in the morning to work out the kinks from the bun but for the first time ever....I had no kinks, I just brushed my hair and it was smooth and poker straight. I couldn't believe it, but the same thing happen the follow mornings as well!! My morning hair routine went from 20 mins to 2 mins...it was amazing.

I wanted to keep this new magic hair that I'd suddenly gotten so at the end of week one, I washed and blow dried my hair again using the TRESemmé Keratin smooth serum. My next wash was another blow dry, but this time I was visiting my close friend and hair dresser in the UK. As she washed my hair I sat and told her about the TRESemmé Keratin smooth system that I was testing out and how impressed with it I was. I opted for a big bouncy style, but my hair was still silky smooth and very much shiny and healthy looking.

People often think with that keratin treatments you'll only need to have one style - poker straight. But that's not true, the keratin will smooth your hair, not chemically straighten it. As you can see from my selfie, you can have smooth, shiny and still fabulously bouncy hair too.

So far this system is a winner in my eyes. I'll report back in a few weeks with my final verdict, but in the mean time check out the TRESemmé Malta Facebook page for more information.

TRESemmé Keratin Smooth review [part 1]

Sunday 12 October 2014

If you follow me on instagram you'll know that I've been trying out the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth - Shampoo, Conditioner and Heat activated serum this morning. I was so impressed I couldn't wait to share a review with you guys, so there will be a few parts on this post.

If you're wondering what it's all about, let me tell you. So basically TRESemmé now offer an at home Keratin smoothing treatment. You use the shampoo and conditioner as you usually would, and the best part is the heat activated treatment. You simply apply 8-10 pumps of the serum on towel dried hair, comb through then dry you hair as usual. To activated the keratin smooth serum you use your straighteners (on the highest setting). Simply section your hair up and run your straightens 3-5times over each section. It couldn’t be easier.

One of the first things I noticed about the shampoo and conditioner before I even used the serum was that my hair had so much body and a new found thickness - which is god send for people with thin hair like me! After applying the serum and using the straighteners as directed, I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. I had super glossy, straight and smooth hair. It was like how it is when I leave a salon.

Another great part about this system is that the smoothness will last up to 4 washes. While this was my first day, I can’t really comment on how it holds up, but I couldn’t wait to share this product with you as I was so impressed with the results immeditatly . I’ll be doing a follow up post in a week or so to let you know if my hair stays as smooth as promised.

In the mean time, if you’re interested in trying to product too, check out the TRESemmé Malta Facebook page for more information.

Are you using Keratin Smooth? What do you think?

Pampering Time with Uriage

Wednesday 1 October 2014

On Sunday evening before going back to work, I treated myself to a girlie pampering session full of goodies from Uriage. As the sun set for the day, I ran myself a deep hot bath adding some bubbles to top it off. Choosing a youtube playlist and lighting some scented candles I settled into my hot bath with a good book.

After relaxing for a bit I treated myself to an all exfoliation using Uriage Gommage Integral *- a gentle exfoliating scrub that can be used all over - even on the face and it’s perfect for sensitive skin. The scrub comes in a blue gel with tiny exfoliating beads that left my skin feeling fresh and polished. What I love about this scrub is the scent, it’s very Spa like and relaxing but fresh at the same time.

After washing my hair and applying a deep condition treatment I settle back, relax for a bit and continued reading my book. At this point I wish Monday wouldn’t come - don’t we all?

After rinsing my hair and before getting out the bath, I finished off with some soap free - Creme Lavante* nourishing body wash (also suitable for sensitive skin). This product also has a nice clean and fresh smell and left my skin feeling soft.

After drying off, I applied some Suppleance Corps* - a moisturising and nourishing, creamy body milk and let it soak into my skin before slipping into some comfortable pyjamas. The body lotion has a similar scent to the body wash and I was smelling pretty clean spa like and my skin was well hydrated and soft.

While settling down to binge watch Orange is the new Black (I’m a little behind on my TV shows at the moment!) with a big bowl of low-fat popcorn and some herbal tea, I couldn’t forgot my night time skin care and applied my favourite Aqua Precis* intense nutrition balm (Baume nutrition intense), which is a super hydrating day/night cream. It’s perfect if your skin needs a little pick me up, or you can use it daily if you have dry skin. I also use it during the summer on sunburn as it really puts back the hydration you lose when it burns, i find it soothing on the skin too.

I then finished the evening off with a little mani-pedi, feeling relaxed, refreshed and smelling amazing...almost ready to take on the week ahead. I think it’s important whether your single or a mother of 4 to have some pampering time, just an hour or so to catch up on yourself at least once a month. You don’t need to go to spa, you can create your own little spa at home like I did.

Uriage products are available from phamaries around Malta.
For more information on the products you can visit the Uriage website

Uriage Gommage Intergal (Body Scrub) - €12.50
Creme Lavante (Body Wash) - 200ml €7.25/500ml €14.25
Suppleance Crops (Body Milk) 200ml €8.10/500ml €15.60

Pantene - Nature Fusion

Thursday 25 September 2014

Sometimes when you ‘need to buy shampoo’ we sometimes reach for the cheapest one in the supermarket that’s on offer because they are all the same right? Not always! Buying shampoo from the supermarket or pharmacy doesn’t mean there’s nothing special about it.

So for todays post we’re going to look at a shampoo and condition that you can pick up in your weekly shop that isn’t just any old shampoo and conditioner. And you’ve probably guessed by the pictures it’s Pantene, but did you notice it’s the Nature Fusion range, what’s that? Well let me tell you...

Pantene Nature Fusion Shampoo and Conditioner packaging is now made with 45% sugarcane-derived plastic which means 45% less petroleum based plastic is used in the packaging. The sustainable packaging will be virtually unnoticeable to the consumers, but the end result is the same performance and price. Why? The plant based bottle is just the first steps Pantene are taking toward becoming eco-friendly. Clean, soft, swishy hair and helping the environment! Win- win!

Now that all sounds great but does it work?

The Shampoo is clear and lathers nicely in the hair. The conditioner has a slight lime tinge to it and soaks easily into the hair, leaving it soft and shiny and easily manageable after rinsing.

After using this product for a few weeks my hair was healthy looking, evening after styling with heat tools. So next time you ‘need to buy shampoo’, remember to check out the Pantene nature fusion range.

Pantene Nature Fusion €5.95* each

Patene is available at various outlets around Malta and Gozo, for more information visit VJ Salomone

Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Eye Serum

Sunday 21 September 2014

The Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator serum for the face is hailed as the 'holy grail' of anti-aging, but if you didn't know there is also an eye cream available designed specifically to target the eye area - under eye wrinkles, crows feet and frown lines. The Forever Youth Liberator serum contains a Glycanatif complex which helps to stimulate the skin’s ability to produce collagen allowing your skin to look more youthful.

The serum applies easily around the eye area and soaks into the skin immediately, hydrating the area. Upon first application I felt a slight tingling sensation which i presume means it's doing something! I've been using this for around a week (a little goes a long way) and my under eye area feels firmer. I'm lucky enough not to have any wrinkles at the moments so I can't comment on how it reduces wrinkles, but I have noticed my under eye area has also brightened up slightly.

If you are looking to try a serious eye cream, where you see results I would recommend checking out he YSL - Forever youth liberator eye serum.

[EVENT] Pronails - Launch of Protect and Peel

Friday 12 September 2014

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the launch of SoPolish Protect and Peel by ProNails. If you haven’t heard of ProNails I’m sure you will have seen their nail bar in the Point Shopping centre in Sliema.

While I don’t normally wear gel/gelish on my nails, this new concept is something I’m excited about.  The new system is a similar concept to gel polish except an additional ‘skin’ is added between your natural nail and the polish so that there is no damage to your own nail what so ever.

Just like gel polish your manicure will also last 2 weeks, but the added bonus of the new system is there is virtually no time or tools need to remove the polish. It simply just peels off. However don’t be fooled into thinking your manicure is just going to fall off without trying - you’ll need to pick at first to get a corner before peeling off.

The great thing about this, is it’s perfect for people who have jobs that aren’t allowed to wear polish but still love a perfect mani from time to time. You simple get your nails done as normal and peel it off when you have to go to work. Great for occasions such as birthdays and other celebrations. This new concept is also a great idea for people who are concerned about their natural nail.

So if you’re looking for the results of gel polish without damaging your natural nails, be sure to ask your manicurist about ProNails - SoPolish or visit the ProNails Nail Bar in Sliema.

Olay Total Effects 7 in One Eye transforming cream

Thursday 28 August 2014

If you read my last post about the Olay Total Effects 7 in One day moisturiser, you’ll know that I’m loving Olay products at the moment and this is no exception. I’ve been using the 7 in One eye transforming cream together with the day moisturiser and have really noticed the difference. In the past all the eye creams I tried, I felt they didn’t make a difference but with the product you can see the results straight away.

Let me tell you about the 7 areas that it covers for you...

1. Line minimisation
2.Nourishing moisture
3. Tone Enhancement
4. Gentle exfoliation
5. Minimises puffiness
6. Brightening
7. Transforming

So about the product itself, it comes in a sturdy little plastic jar the perfect size for just dipping the tip of your finger in. The cream is a beige colour and the texture is very light. The formula is hydrating and non-greasy and my under eye area just soaks this up in seconds. The injection of moisture minimises any fine lines that you may have (thankfully not too many at the moment!)

I have been using this morning and at night. And for those days when I don’t want to wear make up, the day moisturiser mattifies my skin and the eye cream adds just a touch of colour to cover those dark circles so I can face the world au natural. To apply just tab a little under your eye area and smooth into the skin.

Like I’ve mentioned before, you don’t need to have wrinkles to start thinking about using anti-aging products. Prevention is the key, and you should start thinking about using these types of products when you enter your late 20’s, although that’s not to say you can’t benefit from the other aspects of this cream if you are younger. You’ll achieve the same amount of hydration and coverage.

If you are looking for a new eye cream that goes the extra mail. I highly recommend you pick up some Olay total Effects 7 in One. Your eyes will thank  you for it. It’s available from pharmacies and leading retailers throughout Malta and Gozo priced €19.95*

For more information on Olay products in Malta visit VJ Salomone

Herbal Essences - Smooth and Soft Review

Thursday 21 August 2014

With new beauty products and brands popping up every other week it’s sometimes easy to forget the basics such as everyday Shampoo and Conditioner. It’s something we almost take for granted, but today I’m going to go back to basics and talking about Herbal Essences, specifically - Smooth and Soft.

This is a brand I’ve been using on and off since I was a teenager, I’ve always liked the variety of products they’ve had to offer with different scents and results. Smooth & Soft Shampoo and conditioner is designed for dry, damaged and frizzy hair. While I’m lucky enough not to have crazy frizzy Monica from friends hair. I do find that with all the exposure to the harsh summer sun, my hair gets dry and often needs a little helping hand.

First off, I love the Herbal Essences packaging with it’s bright tropical colours, and not only that, my favourite thing has to be that the shampoo and condition sit different ways up so it’s easy to tell which one is which. How many times have you picked up the conditioner first?! I do it all the time with other brands. Smooth & Soft contains mandarin extract, which I can report back smells divine which leaves your hair smelling as equally as gorgeous. With the bright colours and the exotic smells - Smooth and soft gives you the ultimate tropical shower experience right in your own bathroom.

Since I have long, slightly wavy hair that I wash and subject to heat tools often, I like that the product adds moisture and tames and frizz that I do have, while still leaving my hair smooth yet not weighed down so I can still achieve big voluminous curls. The shampoo lathers well but don’t strip the hair of all the natural oils and moisture that I find with some shampoos. The conditioner is nice an creamy and leaves my hair subtle and soft without any tangles!

Next time you’re in the supermarket, breath some life back into our hair and pick up some Herbal Essences - Smooth and Soft. Your hair will thank you for it.

Herbal Essences Smooth & Soft is available from major retailers priced €3.05

Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Day Moisturiser

Thursday 7 August 2014

Olay is one of those brands that have been around since as long as I can remember. I always remember as a little girl my grandmother religiously using their classic Beauty Fluid every single day  and to this day she still does. Sometimes the best brands are ones that have been around the longest.

For the last few weeks I’ve been using the Olay Total Effect 7 in one Anti-aging day moisturiser with SPF 15. With the Maltese sun, especially just now in summer I always choose a moisturiser with SPF in. Also, while I don’t have wrinkle(yet!) it’s only a matter of time, so it’s always better if possible to start preparing for wrinkles before they appear.

This product, as it says is a 7 in 1 product, and what are those 7 I hear you ask? Well let me tell you -

1. Line Minimisation - visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
2. Nourishing Moisturisation - for a radient healthy glow
3. Tone Enhancement - balances colour and visibly reduces appearance of age spots
4. Gentle exfoliation - smooths and evens skin texture
5. Pore refinement - minimises the appearance of pores
6. With Anti Oxidants - held prevent free radical damage to the skins surface layers
7. Subtle firms - hydrates for firmer skin appearance

So basically it’s a moisturiser, primer and more. When I’ve been using Total effects in the morning, I have found I haven’t needed to wear a primer because it gives my skin everything it needs for a flawless application of make up. I’ve even just been wearing only the moisturiser on it’s own at the weekends without makeup to give my skin a rest, and I feel confident enough to leave the house au-natural as Total Effect evens out my skin tone and smooths the skin.

The product itself comes in a 50ml bottle, with a pump dispenser which I much prefer to tubs. One pump gives you enough cream to cover your face and neck. The formula while light weight, I find it to be extremely hydrating. It soaks effortlessly into the skin and is non-greasy. I have to say that in the 2 weeks that I have been using this product, I have noticed that not only has my skin been plump and hydrated, I have also noticed it has smoothed out any imperfections that I had, and I certainly haven’t had any wrinkles appears. I will defiantly continue to use this, it’s just an all great great product.

If you are looking for a new moisturiser that does more than just moisturise. I highly recommend you pick up some Olay total Effects 7 in One. Your skin will thank  you for it. It’s available from pharmacies and leading retailers throughout Malta and Gozo priced €19.95*.

Bourjois volume 1 Seconde Mascara Review and Swatches

Sunday 27 July 2014

So today we’re talking about my new favourite drug store mascara that I’ve been wearing non stop for the last 3 weeks. As you can probably guess from the title of the post it’s the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara.

The latest mascara from Bourjois gives you '360 degree seduction'. The brush has wraparound spherical bristles that gives you perfect volume from every angle. The wraparound spherical bristles allows the mascara to coat the whole lash, and the straight bristles on the brush defines each individual lash.

From the first application I was hooked, it was very easy to notice the difference in my lashes straight away, you can see the difference in the before and after photos below:
Before

After

Not only goes it give you the ‘oomph’ that I look for in a mascara, it also lasts the full day until I remove it before bed. Speaking on removal - this mascara comes off as easy as it goes on, which is a blessing. The Volume 1 Seconde, I think is hands down one of the best drug store mascaras that I’ve used. So if you’re looking for a new mascara (if not you need to be!), I highly recommend you pick up this little beauty next time your near a Bourjois stand.

Have you tried the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara yet?

A day in sun with Hawaiian Tropic...

Wednesday 16 July 2014

With the sizzling hot sun in Malta, it’s important that you look after you skin properly and ensure you are fully protected from head to toe. Now that the weather has finally realised it’s summer, last weekend I decided to take advantage of some rays to top up start my tan, with a little help from Hawaiian Tropic Malta.

With my own little piece of paradise on my terrace, I looked out all the essentials for a day of relaxation. With Ed Sheeran blaring away, I topped up my water jug (remember it’s very important to stay hydrated in the sun), laid out my towel and started applying my Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection 50+ (I’m very pale!) , not forgetting my lips I applied some Hawaiian tropic lip gloss and settled back with a stack of glossy magazines.

Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection applies easily and evenly to the skin, even with factor 50 - it didn’t leave me looking even whiter than I already am. The ultra radiance formula soaks in easily and gave my skin a little bit of a glow so my white skin wasn’t blinding others. The cream is also oil free so there was no chance of me slipping off my sun lounger! If you’ve ever used Hawaiian Tropic before you’ll know how amazing it smells, it brings back fond memories of holidays with its coconut and tropical fragrance.

Now this all sounds great - but does it protect your skin from sun? The short answer is - Yes with an A+ rating. Hawaiian Tropic Satin protection and lip gloss both protect your skin from UVA (4* superior rating) and UVB rays, which is the first thing I look for in a sun screen. I feel it’s important to have both because while UVB are the rays that burn your skin, UBA are the rays that cause premature ageing in the skin. Neither of which I want to happen, so always pick up sun protection with both.

While getting my tan on, I made sure I reapplied protection every few hours to stop getting burnt. Not forgetting to top up my lip gloss, not only did I look fabulous with a glossy pout - it stopped my lips from getting burnt as well. The non sticky gloss just glides on, and is also moisturising - not to mention that the Island berry flavour smells amazing which i've been using daily since.

After an exhausting day doing not much, having read all celebrity gossip I called it day around 4pm and hit the shower to wash off my sun cream and admire my tan in the bathroom mirror - there is just something about showers that make your tan look ten times better - right?

After feeling refreshed, I applied the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun to keep my skin moisturised. The dual ribbon formula is infused with cooling aloe gel and ultra moisturising lotion which left my skin silky smooth. Even the next morning I noticed that my skin was still silky smooth. This is another Hawaiian Tropic product that smells amazing with its coconut and papaya fragrance, with such a holiday smell it was almost disappointing that I had to go to work the next day and not do it all over again!

If you're spending any time in the sun this summer (which i’m sure you will be..) I recommend you check out the Hawaiian Tropic range if not for the A+ protection but for the amazing smell alone (but protection is just as important!). They have a full range of protection factors as well as tanning oils for those with already tanned skin as well as after sun care.

Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection SPF 50+ 200ml - €12.95*
Hawaiian Tropic Island Berry Lip Gloss SPF 25 - €5.95*
Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Oil Intense SPF 2 200ml - €9.95*
Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun 180ml - €10.95

L'oreal Super Liner review

Monday 14 July 2014

L'oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer - £6.49

A few months ago while back in the UK, I popped into Boots for some 'essentials' and came out with a bunch of 3 for 2 offers. One of the items that I picked up was this Super Liner from L'oreal. I have been meaning to tell you guys about this for months, but some how this never made it on the blog. So today is the day I tell you about my Holy Grail eyeliner!

Now personally I prefer liquid liners to pencil, well for my upper eyelids anyway at least. Everytime I run out I try a different brand as I never quite found the perfect one....until now! I've tried MAC, benefit, and countless drugstore ones, some were good but this liner just blows the rest of them out of the water!

The product comes in a long pencil like tube, which you unscrew. The 'handle' part is really easy to hold and gives you total control. The felt nib is firm but flexible, allowing precision application.

The staying power on this is great. I can go a whole day (12 hrs +) and it doesn't smudge or fade at all. It looks like I've just applied it.

I fell in love after the first time I used it. It's not often I used a product only once and say 'wow' but with the Super liner I did. It's difficult to put into words just how great this liner is, but i'll 100% be repurchasing (and stocking up) next time i'm near a L'oreal counter.

Have you found your holy grail eyeliner?

What’s in my travel Make up bag

Sunday 13 July 2014

A few weeks ago I headed to Amsterdam for the week on a work trip. With my job I have to travel a few times a year, as well as traveling for pleasure (or so they ask at immigration...business or pleasure?!) so I’ve got packing the essentials down to a T, as well as the ability to pack a suitcase 1 hr before bed.

So I thought I would show you what I take in my make up case when I go away.

Face
For a primer I took the Max Faxtor Facefinity, as well as my La Roche Posay lip balm
For foundation I took a selection - No7 Beautifully Matte for during the day, and Double Wear for the evening. As well as 2 NYX stay matte foundations that I use for highlighting and contouring.
Collection 2000 concealers in shade 1 and 4, where my concealers of choice for this trip (and most other days too)
Can’t go anywhere with my Chanel bronzer, and to top it of Collection powder.
To top it all off Urban Decay - de-slick setting spray.

Also just as I’d finished packing my case, I uploaded these photos to the computer for editing and noticed....I’d forgot to pack blusher! So thank you blogging world...I would of went away without blusher. Which was NARS orgasm and desire.

Eyes
As an eyeshadow primer, I popped in my MAC paint point in painterly.
For eyebrows, I used MAC pencil in Spiked
For a liner I used the L’oreal super liner (this is my holy grail of eyeliners!)
I took two palettes with me, the Naked 3 and my own MAC neutrals.
And for my eyelashes I took with my the L’oreal Volume million lashes

Lips
I actually ended up taking more lip products with me after I took this picture, I popped in a few of my favourite Revlon Matte balms too. I also took Chanel - boy for a neutral day look, and two YSL rouge volupte for evenings.

What do you take in your make up bag when you travel?

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum Review

Monday 30 June 2014

So I've been using these little beauties for the last 2 weeks and I couldn't wait to tell you guys about them. I'm sure most of you have seen these little golden pods, and perhaps wondered what they do. Well let me tell you, these are little miracle pods....no, seriously! This serum is just amazing.

From the first application..I like to apply before going to bed, I noticed the difference straight away. Oh my, how smooth my skin was when I woke up the next morning...and every morning after that!

To apply you twist the 'handle' and squeeze out the serum. Some have suggested applying it to the back of your hand and apply by dabbing, but I like to put it all over and massage it in, not forgetting my neck. At first you may find it a little oily, but don't let that put you off. It easily soaks into the skin after a few minutes. At first I was worried about it being greasy and giving my a breakout but it did just the opposite.

It's difficult to put into to words just how smooth this left my skin. It was like someone came in over night and gave me the most hydrating facial ever.

This product, while i'd aimed at anti-aging, it's never to early (ok too early if you're still in your teens perhaps) to start thinking about preventing rather than covering up wrinkles and these little capsules of joy are now a firm favourite in my skin care routine. The price might be a little off putting, but personally I don't mind paying a little extra for a product that actually works. If you've still yet to be convinced just take a look around the web and you'll find nothing but rave reviews!

Have you tried the Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth capsules?
