17 Instant Glow Shimmer Brick - Gold Bronze

Tuesday 10 July 2012

I picked this up with some other pieces. I'm not sure if i love the 17 brand or not, but theres something about it, that I always without fail buy something from it every time i get a chance to go.

Anyway I picked up the Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in Gold Bronze.

As you can see from the swatches the colours are rather well pigmented except for the 3rd colour for some reason. All the shades have a pearlescent finish to them, that isn't picked up well by the camera.

When mixed all together the colour because a light metallic bronze colour

Personally I prefer my bronzer to be matte, however these will be some nice highlighting colours.

The packaging is nice, sturdy and sleek and perfect to pop in your handbag for a top up throughout the day

The price was £4.99 which is reasonable. (available in store and online at Boots)

Round up:
Overall I'd live this product 3/5.

The colours are nice, and it's better suited for highlighting rather than contouring as a bronzer
(unless you're the tin man).
I'd even think about trying some of these colours on my eyes?
Maybe I had the wrong expectations of the product. However I won't go to waste.

What's your favourite bronzer?

  1. I always find myself getting stuff from 17 too. The first makeup I ever used was their shine control powder and I still stock up on it now whenever I'm in the UK! I think they have some great products for the price but some flops too.

I prefer matte bronzers too but I dont mind a bit of sparkle on my chest and legs- I have a shimmer bronzer and using a huge brush I sweep a bit over my chest for a night out and my legs too sometimes :) looks glowy and cute! xx

  2. I love this, I have the Pink shimmer brick. I love how it gives a little shimmer to my cheeks and will be great for holiday.

I love number 17 as they always have offers and free gifts x
