Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1 Cleanser

Monday, 20 April 2015

While I love spending time applying make up, I actually equally enjoy removing it at the end of the day. For me there is nothing like winding down after a busy day, slipping into some pyjamas and removing my make up before settling down and watching my favourite shows.

My dressing table is cluttered with all kinds of cleansers, toners, eye makeup removers, lipstick remover and such and I’m always keen to try something new and make my life less cluttered. Thats when I came across the new Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1 Cleanser*. Not only does it act as a cleansing milk, it also tones and removes eye make up. So now in the evening I only need one product to remove all my make up.

The Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1 Cleanser is cross between a liquid and cream. It’s suitable for sensitive skin and is fragrance and paraben free. I having been using this with cotton pads and it removes my make up like a dream. It’s especially good at removing my eye make up, i sometimes find that water based eye make up removers are sometimes dry my lashes and make it a little harsh to remove all my mascara properly, the creamyness of this cleansers stops that and my mascara just slips off hassle free.

I would recommend picking up the Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1 Cleanser to everyone, especially if you have sensitive skin and looking for a fragrance free and paraben free cleanser. Vichy is available from all pharmacies around Malta and Gozo. For more information check out the Vichy Facebook page.

What cleanser are you currently using? Do you prefer a multipurpose product or to use separate products?

Philosophy Just Release Me eye makeup remover

Thursday, 30 January 2014

Another one of my Sephora goodies while in the US was this Philosophy Just Release Me eye makeup remover. Now I had a look on the UK site and they don't seem to sell it. So unless you're in the US, you and I both are out of luck.

Just Release Me is dual-phase, oil free eye make up remover. I've been using this was the past 2 weeks since I came back and so far I'm really like it. I also love Philosophy packaging!

I've tired my fair share of eye make up removers, and Just Release me is extremely gentle. The first time I used it, I thought it had only take part of my eye make up off and was a little confused when I tried again and the cotton pad was clear. It's like it just melts away mascara and eye liner magically into thin air! So if you're in the US and you're looking to pick up a new eye makeup remover, give this a whirl.

This has been my first Philosophy product and my impressions of them are good so far. I have 'hope in a jar' to review in the coming weeks as well.

What's your favourite Philosophy product?

NYX Eye and Lip makeup remover review

Monday, 9 September 2013

A few weeks ago, just before the NYX store opened, my usual Chanel Eye makeup remover ran out so on the opening day I thought I would try the NYX version. I hadn't heard anything about it before, it was just an impulse buy. I needed it - they had it!

I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin, but some eye make up removers just sting and almost blind me! So when I found the Chanel one, it was gentle but did a great job and I repurchased it, but 27 Euros is a lot for an eye makeup remover!

Anyway back to NYX..... I'm so impressed with this product! I love it. I have to say it is just as good as Chanel for me. It's very light and gentle, and in no way oily or greasy and does and amazing job of removing my eye make up.

When I picked it up, there wasn't a price and when I checked my receipt I saw it was 12 Euros...I thought "Wow that's quite a lot for an 80ml bottle"...and hoping it would be "ok". But now I'm actually be using the product daily, I will definitely be repurchasing this again. It really is worth the price, and you only need a little bit. One cotton pad will happily do both my eyes and this bottle will last me months.

If you are looking for a gentle but good eye make up remover that is worth its money, I would recommend purchasing this.

Have you tried this? What did you think?

Chanel - Eye Makeup Remover Review

Friday, 3 August 2012

A few weeks ago I was in Franks (The Maltese equivalent of Boots - or the closest you'll get) and thought I would get myself a little treat. So I chose some Chanel Eye Makeup Remover, which cost about  27 (I can't remember the exact amount,  as I threw the receipt away in a handbag clear out!).

Like any Eye makeup remover, it does what it says on the tin. I takes my eye makeup off rather well, but gently. I've actually got myself into a nice little night time skin care routine that I'm enjoying at the moment (but that's for another post), and my Chanel eye makeup remover is an essential part of my new routine.

Did I really need to spend all that on an eye makeup remove? Probably not, but a gal gets to have a little luxury in her life from time to time and this was my little treat to myself. If you're looking to treat yourself to some Chanel skin care, this is one of their cheaper items and it's something you'll always need and use....so it is a practical choice really (or so I've been telling myself)

What's your little bit of luxury?

Chanel Eye Makeup Remover is available online at Boots.com priced £21.50
(Also from selected stores)
